Why choose Superior in Apache Junction

Same working day on most quotes. Single pane and stock sliding door glass is often fitted the same day. Custom dual pane units take five to seven days because the unit is built to your measurements.

Glass only, in the frame you already have. If the frame is sound and square we do not sell you a window. Apache Junction is half manufactured housing, so the first thing we do is establish which kind of window you have. It saves you a visit that goes nowhere.

We ask what kind of home you have first. Nearly half the housing in Apache Junction is mobile or manufactured, and what we can do depends on which of the two you have, so that is the first question on the phone.

Home window repair in Apache Junction

Apache Junction is different from every other city we serve, and it is worth saying plainly. 45.8% of the housing here, 10,060 units, is mobile or manufactured homes, by far the highest share anywhere in the Valley. What we can do depends on which of those two you have, so the first thing we will ask on the phone is what kind of home it is.

Single pane window replacement in Apache Junction

Single pane glass in aluminum frames is common here, in the older site-built homes and throughout the manufactured housing. Stock sizes we usually cut and fit the same day.

$175 to $325 to 10 sq ft · $300 to $550 to 30 sq ft

Sliding glass door repair in Apache Junction

A door that drags or takes two hands is almost always rollers or track, not glass, and that holds whether the door is in a site-built house or a manufactured one.

$375 to $650 tempered clear · $550 to $950 dual pane · oversized higher

Window screen repair in Apache Junction

Sun screens take a beating out here, and a lot of the housing carries Arizona rooms and enclosed porches with a great deal of screen in them. We re-screen existing frames and build new ones.

Dual pane window repair in Apache Junction

The site-built housing in Apache Junction has a median build year of 1994, which puts it in the band where builder-grade sealed units fail. Fogging between the panes means the seal has gone and cleaning will not touch it. We replace the sealed unit and leave the frame.

$300 to $900 glass only · custom units 5 to 7 days

Not sure which part failed? Point at it on this diagram when you call and we can quote it over the phone. Fog sits behind the dual pane seal, a door that drags is the roller and track, and a torn screen is its own small job.

What we find across Apache Junction

Apache Junction is different from every other city we cover and it is worth saying plainly. 45.8% of the housing here, 10,060 units, is mobile or manufactured. Nothing else in the Valley comes close, and it changes the first question we ask.

Meridian and Shiprock and the other manufactured-home and RV communities are the clearest concentration of it. Window glass in a manufactured home is not the same product as a residential sealed unit, so what we can do depends on the window, and we would rather establish that on the phone than in your driveway.

The site-built stock has a median build year of 1994, which puts it in the band where builder-grade sealed units give out. Dolce Vita, Bel Agave, Bonita Vista, Chaparral Ranch and Larkspur Ranch are ordinary dual pane work.

Median home value here is $211,500, the lowest of the 27 cities we cover. That is worth saying because it changes the arithmetic: replacing glass in a sound frame is a repair, and replacing whole windows on a house at this value rarely makes sense. We will tell you when it does not.

The seasonal pattern is real. The Chamber estimates around 35,000 extra residents between October and April, so winter is the busy half of the year and a lot of the work is on properties that sat empty through the summer heat.

Commercially there is no mall or business park here. It is the Apache Trail retail corridor and Banner Goldfield, and storefront glass along the corridor is what we handle.

Questions from Apache Junction customers

No. The moisture is sealed inside the unit and cannot be reached. Before we go further it is worth checking what you have: 45.8% of the housing in Apache Junction is mobile or manufactured, and the glass in those is a different product from a residential sealed unit. Tell us which you have and we will tell you straight away whether it is ours.

Usually not, on a site-built house. If the frame is sound and square we fit new glass into it. On a manufactured home the answer depends on the window type, which is why we ask first rather than quoting and then finding out.

Almost never. It is the rollers or the track. Apache Junction’s site-built stock has a median build year of 1994, so the patio door hardware is around thirty years old and the glass is usually fine.

Single pane and stock sliding door glass is often same day. Custom dual pane units take five to seven days. One local factor worth mentioning: the Chamber of Commerce estimates around 35,000 additional seasonal residents here between October and April, and the winter months are busier because of it.

Yes, anywhere in Apache Junction, at home or at work. The US 60, the Apache Trail and SR 24 all run through or from here, and the Apache Trail in particular is where unsealed surface and loose gravel put chips in glass. Calibration is done on site.

You do. ARS 20-469 gives you the choice of glass shop for a vehicle glass loss, and where an insurer recommends one it has to tell you that the choice is still yours.

It depends on the unit, and we would rather tell you straight than waste your time. Manufactured homes are firmly in scope, the glass comes out much like a site-built house. On some older mobile homes the glass cannot be taken out without disturbing the frame itself, and where that is the case we will say so on the phone rather than after driving out.

Yes. A good share of Apache Junction empties out in summer and we are used to working to a season. If something needs doing before you leave, say so when you call and we will fit it in.

About Apache Junction

How Apache Junction Got Its Name

The city is named for exactly what it is: the junction where the Apache Trail meets what is now the US-60. It grew up as a stopping point on the way to the Superstition Mountains and incorporated in 1978, which makes it young as a city even though people have been passing through for a great deal longer.

The Superstitions dominate everything here, and with them the story of the Lost Dutchman mine, which has drawn prospectors and tourists in roughly equal number for well over a century.

Notable Landmarks and Major Employers

Goldfield Ghost Town and Lost Dutchman State Park sit at the foot of the Superstitions and bring visitors through all winter. A film studio and western set called Apacheland operated here from 1960 and appeared in dozens of productions; it burned in 1969, was rebuilt, and burned again in 2004. Only the chapel and one barn survived, and both were moved to the Superstition Mountain Museum, where they still stand.

Retail trade leads resident employment at 2,459 and health care at 2,438, anchored by Banner Goldfield Medical Center. The Chamber of Commerce estimates the city takes in roughly 35,000 additional seasonal residents between October and April.
